To secure data and computer systems,
there are several points you have to know (This is also useful for those of you
who like to experiment with malicious programs)
1. Data Backup.
Most people are very reluctant to
make data backup, usually due to limited disk space. But the actual backup data
is very important, because we do not know when the hard disk or data storage
media will be damaged. To create a more secure data backup is burned to CDs.
2. Software restore files.
Today, many software developers offer
the software that able to restore files that were deleted. You may use any
software, the important thing is the software is free from viruses and spyware.
Use of this program for precaution only, if at any time your important files
deleted accidentally.
3. System Restore.
By enabling the "System Restore" then
we can back to a previous state if at any time damage or problems happen with
our operating system (such as system files, programs and registry settings).
System Restore does not affect to your personal files.
4. OS LiveCD
OS Live can be run directly from the
CD ROM using CDs. OS Live is the last option if your operating system has really
serious problems (such as system files infected by the virus). By using OS
LiveCD you can delete the file or program that indicated as a virus which cannot
be removed thru operating system installed on the hard disk.
The four points above are not help
you 100% to secure your data and your system files. The only best way is that
you should always maintain your PC, update the antivirus and system path from a
trusted software developer.
